The Nilles family history goes back centuries, characterized by a deep connection to viticulture. Originally, the family ran a versatile mixed farm with arable farming, cattle breeding, fruit growing and viticulture. In the past, their ancestors cultivated renowned vineyards in Pünderich, including the Rothe Pfad with red slate, a crand cru site, and the Raffes in the south-facing vineyard with blue slate. The wines found their way exclusively into oak barrels and enjoyed great popularity with the local wine merchants.
